After garnering both Song of the
Year and Record of the Year
Grammys in 1997 for Sunny Came Home,
Colvin put her recording life briefly on
hold to start a family. What she temporarily
lost in marketplace visibility, she gained in
life lessons both bitter and sweet, gathering
up insights and emotions that have found
their way into her latest songs. In 2007,
Colvin released a single titled Crazy, a
cover of the Gnarls Barkley song. Colvin
can also be heard on Chris Botti’s tune
All Would Envy, written by Sting, and has
begun touring again with the likes of Alison
Krauss, Lyle Lovett and Bruce Hornsby.
